Furia Tica 2017 in San Jose, Costa Rica, has concluded. It was headlined by Street Fighter V due to being a Latin America ranking event of the Capcom Pro Tour, but tournaments for Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XIV, and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 were also held, with KOFXIV receiving a modest pot bonus of $650 from SNK. Streaming was done exclusively by the True Challengers channel on Twitch.

Mono maintained a dominant run through winner's side for the entirety of the tournament, not even allowing a reset to happen in grand finals, handily keeping Flash at second place, 3-1. With his win, he's rewarded 160 CPT points. He's not yet in the top 50 overall, but is inside the top 8 for his region, allowing him to later win 400 points in a regional final.
