DNF Duel

DNF Duel has just been announced to be releasing on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC for Summer 2022. It has been in development by Arc System Works, Neople, and Eighting and was announced just under two years ago. It's been undergoing beta testing for a while (it's scheduled to end today), so if you're interested you don't have much to do but wait for DNF Duel to show up about six months from now.

DNF Duel is a spinoff of the incredibly popular Dungeon Fighter Online. Dungeon Fighter Online is a Korean Beat-em-up ARPG that was originally released back in 2005. Dungeon Fighter Online has made over $15 billion in gross revenue from over 700 million players as of May 2020. You can view the official trailer for DNF Duel below.

What is DNF Duel?

DNF Duel is a 2.5D action fighter that will include 10 fighters at launch. With 16 years of built-up lore from Dungeon Fighter Online, fans will be happy to discover that each fighter will come with their own uniqye skillset and moves. This means classes such as the Ranger or Berserker should be translated over and instantly recognizable if you've played DFO.

Oh, and before you ask: like many other games in the genre, DNF Duel will have rollback support. Whew. At this point in time, a fighting game basically shouldn't bother launching without rollback support, eh? Well, you don't have to worry about it for this game.

Thanks, PlayStation Lifestyle.
