Owing to a blog post by Community Specialist Yuri Araujo, the Devil May Cry HD Collection is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 13th, 2018. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will feature 60 frames per second for the first three Devil May Cry games: Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2, as well as Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, Special EditionThere's no word yet if any additional features will come as part of this collection, but regardless, Devil May Cry HD Collection will run $29.99 when it releases on March 13th next year.

This is not the first HD Collection for the Devil May Cry series. The first release came for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and added a few new visual improvements to reduce blur and add widescreen support. The original collection also added a number of cheats and a jukebox for Devil May Cry 3's music fans. Devil May Cry as a whole has successfully married sleek action and punishing difficulty with a campy, B-movie plot, and is a well-praised series because of it. Though the later DmC: Devil May Cry may have divided the community in its presentation, it still retained the same stylish action that has since become the series' hallmark.

This announcement also comes on the heels of a purported leak of Devil May Cry 5 on ResetEra. Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards even popped in to tease an "AAA announcement," though after the show last night we know that Devil May Cry 5 did not make an appearance. While its possible that the next installment of Hideaki Itsuno's stylish action series could show up at PlayStation Experience, this seems even less likely. Despite these (likely) no-shows, there's a clear demand for a new Devil May Cry, and if the recent Mega Man 11 announcement is anything to go by, Capcom is clearly looking at some of its well-loved properties yet again. Before we can get our hands on Devil May Cry 5 however, we'll have to settle with the Devil May Cry HD Collection, coming March 13th, 2018.
