Bandai Namco Entertainment is bringing a bit of hack n' slash to mobile with Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict according to a press release from the publisher.

Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict is a free-to-play title based on Ryu Mizuno's Record of Grancrest War light novel series. As with many Japanese entertainment IPs, Grancrest has been represented in a diverse set of mediums including light novels, manga, anime, and even a tabletop role-playing game.

The range of entertainment mediums is expanding to mobile devices with Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict making its way to iOS and Android. Have a gander at the launch trailer to see how it all plays out:

Players will be able to switch between four different characters of three separate character classes (Artist, Lord, and Mage) in intense hack and slash action. Each of these classes has their own distinct skills, and charging up the Quartet Gauge will let you field your entire party for a simultaneous assault.

In terms of the story, you can explore classic moments from the anime as well as brand-new original encounters created especially for the game. If you're more about getting your hands dirty with a bigger conflict, you'll be able to participate in the Faction War mode. This mode plays out a neverending struggle between the Fantasia Union and the Factory Alliance as each of the groups attack one another's territories and holdings.

Bear in mind that Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict is a free-to-play title. While you'll certainly be able to have a good bit of fun without spending a penny, you can expect to see premium currency and items available for purchase if you'd like to give yourself a bit of an edge.

If this sounds like your kind of jam, you can play Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict for free right now on iOS and Android. You can download the game and read more about it by heading on over to its official website.

What do you think of Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict? Do you think this game will be able to live up to the light novels? Let us know in the comments below!
