Bandai Namco has announced seven (yes, seven) new characters joining the roster of crossover anime fighter Jump Force. The characters were all announced simultaneously and will be available to download as part of the game's Character Pass. The new characters are as follows:

  • Biscuit Krueger (Hunter x Hunter)
  • Toshiro Hitsugaya (Bleach)
  • Majin Buu (Dragon Ball)
  • Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia)
  • Trafalgar Law (One Piece)
  • Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez (Bleach)
  • Madara Uchiha (Naruto)
These characters come after the announcement of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Seto Kaiba and My Hero Academia's All Might. We don't yet know what the characters' move sets will look like in the game, nor whether they'll take part in the game's plot in any way.

It's worth noting that Bandai Namco originally announced that there would be nine DLC characters for Jump Force. This means Bandai Namco has now announced every character in the roster and clearly doesn't feel the need to stagger the news out anymore. The characters revealed are also the exact same as those datamined from the game at release so it's not as if these characters have been kept secret anyway.

It's no secret that Jump Force hasn't been massively well-received (least of all by us), so this does feel a bit like Bandai Namco throwing its hands up and giving up. That said, the company did recently release a patch for the game to fix a few issues and add some more costumes, so perhaps there's life in the old anime dog yet.

Jump Force was released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on February 15th. The anime crossover fighting game features several characters from Shōnen Jump franchises like One PieceNaruto, and Death Note. It's a one-on-one fighter in which players control teams of three characters. There's no word yet on when these seven new characters for Jump Force will be released. We'll have more news for you on that when we get it.

Who else would you like to see joining the roster of Jump Force (not that they will now)? Let us know in the comments below!
