Angry Birds Transformers announced by Rovio

Rovio is at it again, with an all new Angry Birds mobile game! The new game that was introduced today? Angry Birds Transformers, which brings the iconic Transformers universe into that Rovio's Angry Birds. In the press release, they also revealed that along with the game, there would be licensed goods and a product line from Hasbro.

It has not been given a release date yet, however it is expected to release sometime after Angry Birds Stella, which releases in September of 2014. Based on the reveal image and video (below), the following characters should be represented within the game:

• Optimus Prime (Red)
• Bumblebee (Chuck)
• Heatwave (Terence)
• Springer? (Hal)
• Matrix (Egg)

Deceptihogs

• Galvatron
• Soundwave
• Starscream
• Shockwave
• Megatron?
• Spike?
• Unicron

Angry Birds, a franchise that has regular new iterations on a frequent basis (Angry Birds Go!, Angry Birds Stella, Angry Birds Star Wars, etc), doesn't seem to be slowing down with new games - although it remains to be seen if consumers will tire of the games. Either way, it's always great to step into the Transformers world in some way!
