Legendary developer and publisher 3D Realms has announced Realms Deep, a digital retro FPS event with gaming premieres and special guests. The event will take place in September and will showcase new projects and content from multiple studios including 3D Realms itself.

Who will be at Realms Deep 2020?

3D Realms is promising plenty of prominent gaming figures and studios for Realms Deep. Announcements will be coming from 3D Realms itself along with 1C Entertainment; they'll be announcing "a brand new dark-fantasy FPS" and multiple new games between them. You can also expect game reveals from DUSK developer New Blood Interactive, as well as retro enthusiast studio Nightdive and POSTAL creators Running With Scissors. Alongside the announcement, 3D Realms also released a trailer for the event, which you can check out here:

As well as announcements from developers, you can also expect "candid conversations" with various prominent figures in the gaming industry, many of whom have worked on classic FPS games. 3D Realms says luminaries like Cliff Bleszinski, American McGee, John Romero, and Tim Willits will be present at the virtual event, as well as major FPS voice actors like Duke Nukem's Jon St. John and Blood's Stephan Weyte. You'll also be able to catch up on the progress of projects like SCP: BlackoutFallen Angels, and Paradox Vector, among many others.

Viewers who check out Realms Deep streams will have the opportunity to donate to Child's Play, a charity focused on helping vulnerable children gain access to valuable gaming experiences. 3D Realms will also be offering physical merchandise that you can purchase during the show. All proceeds from the sales of said merchandise will go directly to Child's Play.

You'll be able to check out Realms Deep 2020 on 3D Realms' Twitch channel. The event takes place on September 5th between 11 am PT and 4 pm PT. It then resumes on September 6th at the same time. Sounds like it's going to be an essential event if you're a retro FPS fan.
