The Master Chief Collection, released on Nov. 11 was meant to be a celebration of the four main series Halo games but has unfortunately been 2 weeks of frustration for people wanting to play online. This has lead to 343 Industries issuing an official apology for the games problems.

Since its launch, the game has been unable to provide a stable matchmaking experience for players. Issues such as not being able to connect to games and other matchmaking problems have hampered peoples time with it.

In a post, that can be read here, Bonnie Ross posted an apology

On the matchmaking front, we have encountered unexpected issues that were not apparent in our internal test environment and that have resulted in a frustrating experience, including long matchmaking times and low session success rates. Within 343 Industries and Xbox, I can assure you that resolving these issues is our #1 priority.
And
Please accept my heartfelt apologies for the delay and for the negative aspects of your experience to date. We’re doing everything in our power to resolve it as quickly as possible.
It is unfortunate that a game so many were looking forward to, that was meant to celebrate past games, has been overshadows by its own problems. 343 have said they are committed to fixing the games matchmaking issues and don't seem to be ignoring their player-base. It is also unfortunate that most games these days launch with problems, whether that is because of more complex systems or a strive for faster turn around.
