Urtuk: The Desolation is an open world turn-based tactical RPG. Players will claim character upgrades from fallen enemies in a procedurally generated campaign as they work to survive a dark, low-fantasy setting. In this world, there are no traditional creatures like elves, dwarves, dragons, or goblins.
Combat takes place on large maps where the environment are not just part of the scenery, but are also a factor in battle. Enemies can be rammed off cliffs or onto spikes, and all of these graphical assets are hand drawn, such as the monsters, objects, characters, the world map, or battlefields.
