PC Building Simulator is a game that can teach you the basics of building a PC with an included career mode for getting a little more out of the title. Developed by Claudiu Kiss and The Irregular Corporation, it features all sorts of licensed parts from real-world manufacturers for an authentic PC building experience. The career mode of the game opens with you inheriting a PC repair company from a family member who didn't do the best job of taking care of his clientele. You'll learn the ropes as you go, figuring out which parts go where and what kind of procedures you have to follow to fix some of the most common problems a modern personal computer will face. Tasks in the game include simple virus removals, diagnosing malfunctioning PCs and replacing bad parts, and building bespoke systems tailored to the customer's needs. Aside from managing your customers, you'll also have to take care of your business. Make sure you pay the rent and the electrical bill every month or you won't exactly be able to carry on with your work! (Thankfully, your bank will extend you a line of credit of at least $1,000 should you dip a bit below zero.) As your wallet gets fatter, you can invest your money into the business by purchasing better tools that help you get the job done faster. If you're more keen on building your fantasy rig, a free build mode offers up the opportunity to put together a system however you like using the game's wide selection of parts. Use it as a testing ground for the career mode (free of the concerns of in-game money) or experiment with crazy builds featuring some of the latest parts out on the market. Best of all, if you're a complete newbie to the experience, a helpful in-game tutorial will walk you through just exactly what you need to do in order to build a PC from the ground up. If you have absolutely no idea what you're doing, PC Building Simulator puts the tools in your hands to get the job done.
