The legend begins with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Take on the role of Link, and embark on a journey that tells us the origins of Hyrule through the eyes of the people of Skyloft, a floating island in the clouds. Fly on your trusty Loftwing to rescue your childhood friend Zelda from the mysterious evil of Ghirahim and the monstorous Demise.

Utilizing the Wii MotionPlus controlled add on, Skyward Sword featured unique gameplay mechanics based heavily on motion controls, including real-time blocking and attacking with your sword and shield. Along with new and classic items to aid your quest, embark on some classic dungeon crawling and puzzle solving along the way, with the classic formula of the Zelda Series showcased here in full force.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is getting a HD remaster for the Nintendo Switch, featuring minor graphical changes and brand new control schemes, including for the first time standard over motion controls. Skyward Sword HD will be released on July 16th, 2021.
