The Walking Dead – The Final Season will be available to play on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on August 14, 2018, according to a press release from Telltale Games.
Telltale’s take on The Walking Dead series has already run through three distinct seasons featuring the journey of Clementine, a young girl who has had to grow up in a world filled with the unique dangers that the living dead present. The fourth and final season will conclude this story that began back in April of 2012. Have a look at the E3 2018 Teaser Trailer to get a feel for how far things have come:
Clementine has spent quite a few years on the road fighting against nasty humans and walkers alike. When she finds an abandoned schoolhouse, she sees the potential for a place where she can settle down safely. Clementine is charged with leading a band of survivors while also taking care of an orphaned boy AJ, bringing her full circle to a situation similar to how her own journey began way back in Season 1.
A new Graphic Black art style will make things look even closer to the comic book style with support for 4K resolution and HDR on compatible systems. Players will be able to control Clementine with an over-the-should camera system and partake in unscripted combat as they follow her through the final chapter of her journey.
Pre-orders for The Walking Dead – The Final Season will open for PC (via Steam, the Humble Store, GOG, and Gamersgate), the Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on June 8, 2018, across all regions. Xbox One & PlayStation 4 preorders will receive instant access to The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, a collection of the previous 19 episodes in one convenient package.
