EA has announced a brand new update to Star Wars Battlefront II which lets players recreate the iconic Ewok battle from Return of the Jedi. The Night on Endor update introduces a new game mode called Ewok Hunt, which pits a team of everyone’s favorite space bears against the Empire. Players can either control Ewoks, utilizing rocks and spears, or stormtroopers, making use of the more classic blaster fare. Each stormtrooper defeated spawns as another Ewok. If the Empire’s forces have been completely eliminated, the Ewoks win and their celebration can begin.

This new mode will only run for a limited time though, starting on April 18. No further details were given as to exactly how long players can jump into Ewok Hunt, but a trailer was released giving a glimpse as to what they can expect, you can check it out below. EA also detailed the return of Crystals, as one of the ways for fans to unlock Appearances, including Endor Leia and Endor Han. Real-world currency can only be used to purchase Crystals, which are only redeemable for Appearances. The new update will bring with it 50 additional Appearances to personalize your units with as well.

Of course, Star Wars Battlefront II has seen its fair share of controversy surrounding the implementation of loot boxes and microtransactions. So much so in fact, that EA decided to pull them from the game entirely shortly after launching late last year. That was until recently when the company decided to reintroduce them as part of a new, significantly revised progression system. Currently, only cosmetic items can be bought with real money, with everything else tied to the game experience-based leveling system.
