Jurassic World Evolution, the upcoming dinosaur simulation game developed by Frontier Development has just received a release date. The game will launch June 12 2018, as revealed in a brand new pre-order trailer, which you can watch below. It shows off plenty of awesome dinosaur-action, as well as a glimpse at some of the park-building mechanics featured in the game. As expected, things quickly go really awry, with natural disasters and faulty fences leading to predictably chaotic events. You’d think that after four movies at this point we’d be a little adverse to the idea of a dinosaur theme-park, but here we are.

The game was announced during Microsoft’s Gamescom 2017 presentation back in August last year, revealing that players will be able to bio-engineer new breeds of dinosaurs, as well as managing a park filled with more classic dinosaur fare. T-rexs, raptors and triceratops all featured in the announcement trailer.

It was later revealed that none other than Dr. Ian Malcolm himself will be narrating the game. That’s right, Jeff Goldblum will be using his silky smooth voice to guide you through your time as a theme-park owner, hopefully helping you steer clear of some of the situations he seems to frequently find himself in.

Jurassic World Evolution has repercussions for each player decision, giving the feeling of a living, breathing park. Facilities and gadgetry closely resemble 2015’s Jurassic World film, such as the long train networks and the ball ride, as well as the ability to bio-engineer dinosaurs like the Indominus Rex.

Jurassic World Evolution launches June 12 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s likely the game is launching at this time to coincide with the premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on July 22, 2018.
