Today Capcom released a new video of the upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6, focusing fully on the soundtrack.
The video showcases the theme music track of the recently-revealed returning character Zangief, titled "R.E.D."
Zangief was revealed a couple of months ago during the latest PlayStation State of Play livestream alongside Cammy and the new character Lily.
You can check out his track below.
If you're unfamiliar with Zangief, he's one of the most storied characters within the Street Fighter franchise. Here's how Capcom describes him officially:
"Rumbling his way onto the scene is the immense Zangief, an original World Warrior who loves to show off for the crowd at Barmaley Steelworks. A professional wrestler by trade, Zangief keeps hold of his trademark throws like the Screw Piledriver and Siberian Express, picking up new moves like the counter throw Tundra Storm. His Level 2 Super Art Cyclone Lariat and Level 3 Super Art Bolshoi Storm Buster are sure to be crowd-pleasers."
Recentylu, we've seen many gameplay clips showcasing full matches played by the developers including Cammy versus Manon, Lily versus E. Honda, Marisa versus Manon, Dee Jay versus Dhalsim, Blanka versus JP, and Zangief himself versus Marisa. We recently also learned that Japanese actress Hikaru Takahashi joined the roster of commentators for the Real-Time Commentary feature introduced for the game.
Street Fighter 6 is releasing on June 2, 2023. This time around, it's returning to its multiplatform nature, as it'll launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It'll also come to the arcades via Taito, albeit that version won't probably leave Japan at least for the time being.
