We now have some more information regarding some of the gameplay enhancements and improvements coming to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The upcoming Jedi: Fallen Order sequel will boast new combat stances, a better balance in terms of acquiring powers, and even a Tarrey Town-style homestead for you to build up.

Just a few weeks ago, Respawn released a trailer showing how Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will build on the narrative of its predecessor, but now, it's time to see how this sequel will actually play. Over on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has unveiled more about Respawn's upcoming game, and it's looking pretty special.

First up, Sony talks about the different stances Cal can use in Survivor. From the Single stance, which is a balanced all-round option, through to the Crossguard, which is a more slow and deliberate style, there are five different stances to unlock, each of which is good for different combat situations. Respawn's Stig Asmussen also says that the first game's "power curve came in a little bit too late", so you'll have access to more Force powers at the beginning of Survivor to give you more options in combat.

You'll have plenty of new combat options in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Perhaps one of the most intriguing new additions that Sony talks about in the PlayStation Blog post is Rambler's Reach, a sort of Tarrey Town-style homestead you can build up. You can help with repairs here, "plant gardens", and even recruit people to help with everything from additional construction through to "be[ing] a DJ". It sounds like you'll have lots to do outside of combat in Survivor.

Cal himself can also take advantage of an expanded range of cosmetics and appearance elements. By exploring the galaxy thoroughly, you'll unlock cosmetic options for both Cal and his lightsaber, and you can even change his hairstyle now. Together with the more fluid climbing and movement animations, this should mean Cal looks a whole lot more stylish while he's running around fulfilling his Jedi destiny.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on April 28th.
