Today Blizzard Entertainment released a new trailer revealed a new trailer of Overwatch 2, showcasing the gameplay of the new hero, Venture.
Venture will be released with Season 10 on April 16, 2024, but players will already be able to try them out via a limited trial event between March 28 and March 31.
Unlike previous heroes, they will be available for everyone after completing the tutorial thanks to a radical change to how heroes are unlocked. They won't be locked behind the Battle Pass starting with Season 10.
Venture was initially revealed at BlizzCon. They are an archaeologist and they're equipped with a "smart excavator." Not only does it serve the purpose of a weapon, but it also allows Venture to traverse the map underground and pop up to attack enemy heroes from below.

Overwatch 2 is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S Xbox One, and PC. If you'd like to see more heroes, you can take a look at the recently introduced hero Mauga.
Season 10 will also bring the new Hanaoka Map with the new Clash mode, alongside a big change to the Battle Pass and how Mythic Skins are unlocked.
The new Mythic Shop introduced with the season will let you unlock Mythic Skins from current and previous seasons and go as far into upgrading them as you wish, so you can decide to spread your progression among multiple skins if you're not interested in focusing all on one to unlock all of its colors or models.
It'll certainly be interesting to see whether the new hero and the big changes announced by Blizzard will manage to keep Overwatch 2 at the forefront of the genre, especially considering that competition will soon become fiercer with the arrival of a new hero shooter featuring Marvel characters.
