Square Enix has announced new content for Final Fantasy XV during this years E3. These announcements include the long awaited Prompto episode as well as a new VR game that will expand the Final Fantasy XV universe. This new content was showcased during a trailer at E3. Last year Square Enix released a CG movie and an anime series expanding the Final Fantasy universe and have continued to flesh out the world with new episodes and game updates. Now more updates, a new episode and two new games will allow players to delve deeper into the interesting world. In addition to the new content it was confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will support the enhanced console hardware of Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.
When it comes to the main game Final Fantasy XV is finally getting Episode Prompto DLC. Releasing on June 27th players will be able to play as Prompto in a new chapter of the epic story. Future DLC will include Episode Ignis and Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades. Free updates and new content are coming to the main game as well. Also releasing on June 27th is the “Regalia Type-D” update which will allow players to drive off-road and explore even more of the world.
Square Enix also announced two new projects set in the Final Fantasy XV Universe during E3. One is a VR fishing game coming out this September called Monsters of the Deep. You can watch the trailer here. The second project is a mobile title called King’s Knight - Wrath of the Dark Dragon-. The action RPG will feature a new story and world that accommodates up to four players. The app will be available later this year for iOS and Android. Watch the trailer to learn more.
