Small Impact Games and Team17 have announced the release date for the upcoming Marauders update United Allies. The update is, according to the creators, the "biggest update yet" for the multiplayer looter shooter, and it will add new ships, brand new equipment, and lots more.
Where previous Marauders updates have added features like new spacecraft, this one looks to be a touch more ambitious. The first major new addition is the Colony Cruiser, a brand new Raid location making its way through the vastness of space. Aboard the Cruiser, you'll be able to battle the U.A. Marines, who will drop lots of new loot like the Stoner 63 rifle, Sherman plate armor variants, and more.
According to Small Impact and Team17, the new update also includes a rework of the game's Ship system, which adds "almost 20 ships in total" as well as 3 new turret types. It sounds like the devs have been listening to their player base, too, as Ship Salvaging for space wreckage has been added. Let it never be said that your feedback doesn't get you anywhere!
As well as all of the aforementioned new content, United Allies is also adding VOIP proximity voice chat to Marauders, allowing you to communicate with other players who are near your location. If you're not really into the whole "talking to other human beings" thing (perhaps because you've played literally any online video game before), you can also look forward to a range of voice sets to unlock.
