The Jurassic Park franchise has, uh, found a way to reach 30 years old, and to celebrate, management sim Jurassic World Evolution 2 is getting a free update with some nifty goodies. As you'd imagine, the content of the update will celebrate the Jurassic Park series' birthday, so you can expect lots of items from the most iconic moments in the franchise.

Unlike some of the paid DLC, this update won't be bringing any new dinosaurs or game mechanics for you to sink your teeth into. Rather, it's adding more than 20 decorative items that you can place in your park. Frontier says it won't be sharing the full list of those decorations until Thursday, but you can spot some of them in the update's Steam announcement.

Decorative items coming as part of the update include "the" Jurassic Park bunker, as well as the Les Gigantes mural and the original fence design from the first movie. Suffice it to say that if you're a Jurassic Park fan, there should be plenty for you to spot and enjoy in this update.

At least your park will have that all-important nostalgic appeal when all of the guests get eaten.

Other items included as part of the update include paths designed to shepherd your guests around your park, as well as skeletons for both T. rex and Alamosaurus, among others. You can also look forward to a developer livestream on Thursday, which will showcase some community creations and some of the highlights in the free update. It's a pretty good time to be a Jurassic Park fan, that's for sure.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game is also part of June's PlayStation Plus lineup, so if you're a subscriber, you can grab it at no additional cost and get designing your dream dino park right now.
