The first major Warhammer 40k: Darktide update is live, and it's a pretty big one. Patch 1.0.2 brings with it a whole new map for you and your strike team to explore, as well as new melee weapons for the frontline-focused Zealot and Ogryn classes to wield and much, much more.

It's been just over two weeks since Darktide formally arrived, so Rejects (i.e. players) have had a little time to settle into the horde-killing groove of Fatshark's new FPS. Still, the developer isn't resting on its laurels. The Signal update for Darktide is bringing a whole new map in the form of the snappily-named Comms-Plex 154/2f, where you must reach the roof and transmit a message to your Imperium allies.

That's not all, of course. There are now also two new weapons to get to grips with (literally) in the form of the Zealot's Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher and the Ogryn's Achlys Mk I Power Maul. As the names suggest, these weapons are all about crushing hordes, so swinging them is going to give your melee game some serious heft.

The new Signal update is bound to give your melee game a few more options in Warhammer 40k: Darktide.

Fatshark has been listening to a few player gripes, too, as Darktide now has a Private Play option for strike teams of between 2 and 4 players. The new Refine perk option at the Shrine of the Omnissiah should give you more options with regard to your perk loadout, and there's a new Condition that lets loose hordes of Pox Hounds for you and your friends to deal with.

Of course, the devs have also addressed a whole swarm of bugs and issues with this update. Many of those bugs are pretty minor, but some, like recurring GPU crashes or "various and numerous unspecified crashes", should hopefully make Darktide a smoother experience for you. It's well worth taking a look at the full patch notes for the Darktide Signal update so you can see if your particular most annoying bug has been squashed.

You can pick up Warhammer 40k: Darktide right now on PC via Steam or the Microsoft Store. A release is also planned for Xbox Series X|S at some point in the future, although we don't know when just yet. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info on that and all other things Darktide.
