Weapons Guide Anacrusis

Theres a few weapons at your disposal as you make your way through The Anacrusis. Players have the option of 3 different starter weapons, and throughout the map can find some special weapons, grenades, and healing items scattered around. There are a lot of unique and interesting items for you to use, so here's our Anacrusis Weapons and Equipment guide!

The Anacrusis Weapons Guide - Base Weapons / Abilities

Every game, you'll start in a safe room with a few weapon options and a weapon charger. These base weapons are going to be the primary ones that you'll use throughout the game, and you'll find more throughout the levels should you want to use something different!

Pulse (knockback ability)

This is one of the most important tools in your arsenal. Use your pulse to push back enemies when overwhelmed, so you can move into a better position or just get a bit of distance to heal. There's a few great perks that you can acquire that make this an even better ability.

Best Pulse Perks:

  • Pulse Amplifier - The area of effect for your Pulse is larger.
  • Pulse Extender - Gain an additional charge for your Pulse.
  • Pulse overcharge - Hold Pulse to unleash a powerful blast that damages and knocks back enemies.
  • Pulse Recycler - Your Pulse recharges faster after an ally Pulses near you.
  • Pulse Screen - After using Pulse, gain a protective shield that blocks one hit.
  • Turbo Pulse - Your Pulse recharges faster.
Anacrusis Pistol

Pistol

The pistol is your guaranteed weapon - unlimited ammo and kept when you have to be respawned. It's effective at one-shotting regular enemies, but it's fairly ineffective against special enemies.

Best Pistol Perks:

  • Burstfire Pistol - Fire three-shot bursts with your pistol.
  • Charge Extender - Primary weapon and pistol hold more charge between reloads. (+50%)
  • Criticality - Enemies killed with critical hits explode.
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.
  • Weapon Stabilizer - All weapons have less recoil

Plasma Rifle

The plasma rifle is a good all-around weapon - laying down fire at close range, as well as distance. Takes out some specials quickly, with a medium sized ammo reserve.

Best Plasma Rifle Perks

  • Auto Charge - Moves one shot from your ammo reserve into your gun, every few seconds.
  • Charge Extender - Primary weapon and pistol hold more charge between reloads. (+50%)
  • Criticality - Enemies killed with critical hits explode.
  • Penetrating Plasma - Plasma Rifle shots go through multiple enemies.
  • Reserve Extender - Carry more ammunition for your primary weapon (2x)
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.
  • Weapon Stabilizer - All weapons have less recoil
Blaster Reload Anacrusis

Blaster (Shotgun)

The Blaster is an effective tool for crowd control and close up encounters, but near-useless at a distance.

Best Blaster Perks:

  • Auto Charge - Moves one shot from your ammo reserve into your gun, every few seconds.
  • Blaster Amplifier - Blaster shots affect a larger area.
  • Charge Extender - Primary weapon and pistol hold more charge between reloads. (+50%)
  • Criticality - Enemies killed with critical hits explode.
  • Reserve Extender - Carry more ammunition for your primary weapon (2x)
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.
  • Weapon Stabilizer - All weapons have less recoil

SMB (SMG)

The SMB is highly effective at close range, and laying down extended fire. With the Charge Extender and Reserve Extender, this weapon is great for close and medium-range encounters, as well as laying down fire on special enemies.

Best SMB Perks:

  • Auto Charge - Moves one shot from your ammo reserve into your gun, every few seconds.
  • Charge Extender - Primary weapon and pistol hold more charge between reloads. (+50%)
  • Criticality - Enemies killed with critical hits explode.
  • Reserve Extender - Carry more ammunition for your primary weapon (2x)
  • SMB Tracking Rounds - Shots fired with the SMB automatically track nearby targets.
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.
  • Weapon Stabilizer - All weapons have less recoil

The Anacrusis Weapons Guide - Special Weapons

Special weapons are critical to your success in The Anacrusis. They can get your out of rough situations, and are especially helpful for the hordes at the end of each level!

Auto Turret Anacrusis

Auto Turret

The Auto Turret is great to have around at the end of missions. It's based on ammunition, rather than a timer, so if your team has a few you can put a kill-zone in to be ready for final encounters!

Best Auto Turret Perks:

  • Special Charge Extender - Special Weapons come with more ammunition.

Laser Rifle

The Laser Rifle will burn down a brute quickly, and can be used in horde situations as well, as it will pass right through enemies as you burn them down. Tip: Use the Laser Rifle to light goo on fire if you're overwhelmed!

Best Laser Rifle Perks:

  • Special Charge Extender - Special Weapons come with more ammunition.
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.
Arc Rifle Anacrusis

Arc Rifle

The Arc Rifle is incredibly powerful - especially in hordes of enemies. As you'd expect from a shock weapon, it hits more than one enemy at a time and can burn down any specials with ease.

Best Arc Rifle Perks:

  • Special Charge Extender - Special Weapons come with more ammunition.
  • Weapon Handling - Switch weapons faster and move at full speed while aiming down sights.

The Anacrusis Weapons Guide - Grenades

Grenades are yet another helpful tool in your arsenal - use them to slow enemies, stop enemies, or just deal massive damage. You'll have a limited number, so use them wisely!

Goo Grenade Anacrusis

    Goo Grenade

    The Goo Grenade has a lot of usability, especially combined with Perks. You can slow enemies, creating a burning kill-zone with the Laser Rifle, or use the grenade to boost health temporarily.

    Best Goo Grenade Perks:

    • Defensive Goo - Standing in goo protects you from damage.
    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.
    • Healing Goo - Deploying goo grenades grants temporary health to nearby players.

    Impact Grenade

    The impact grenade is is a timed explosive, pull it out and chuck it into a horde - 3 seconds later...BOOM! Great for clearing out groups - and VERY effective for taking out groups of Eggs.

    Best Impact Grenade Perks:

    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.

    Incendiary Grenade

    The Incendiary Grenade has a few effective uses - creating "fire traps" in hallways, as well as just quickly burning down groups.

    Best Incendiary Grenade Perks:

    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.
    Vortex Grenade Anacrusis

    Vortex Grenade

    Have a ton of enemies running at you? Chuck a Vortex Grenade, and they'll get sucked in and taken out. This grenade has a lot of usefulness in tough situations!

    Best Vortex Grenade Perks:

    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.

    Stasis Grenade

    The Stasis Grenade is incredibly effective at slowing enemies and creating a small "kill zone" in hallways. It's one of the only things you can do to slow a brute, and makes them much easier to take down! Note: Stasis grenades do not work on Eggs!

    Best Stasis Grenade Perks:

    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.
    Shield Grenade Anacrusis

    Shield Grenade

    Throw this down for a near-impenetrable shield. Great for keeping the horde off you while you take them down. Brutes can break this shield with ease, though!

    Best Shield Grenade Perks:

    • Grenade Amplifier - The area of effect for grenades is larger.
    • Grenade Extender - Carry more grenades.

    Anacrusis Health Items Guide

    Health Scanner

    Want some of your health back? You'll want to snag this in the starting room, or found throughout each level. Depending on your current health - it will heal 45-55 HP.

    Best Health Scanner Perks:

    • Fast Healing - Use health scanners and revive downed allies faster.
    • Healing Extender - Healing items restore more health and can overheal.

    Health Booster

    The health booster will boost your temporary health. If you're limping (<25% health) - this will temporarily boost your health enough to get back up to normal speed.

    Best Health Booster Perks:

    • Adrenaline Booster - Move faster, take less damage, and deal increased damage after using a health booster.
    • Healing Extender - Healing items restore more health and can overheal.
    • Temp Health Stabilizer - Temporary health decays much slower.
