Games Workshop has officially announced a Kill Team roadmap. This spin-off set in the popular grimdark sci-fi world of Warhammer 40k has received its share of support as part of the studio's new seasonal content model, this new roadmap will bring additional ideas and stories to this part of the war-torn far future.

What is in the Kill Team roadmap?

According to an official Warhammer-Community post, Games Workshop went into detail about the Kill Team roadmap. First, they announced a new box, Kill Team: Into The Dark. The box will feature a team of Imperial Breachers and a crew of Kroot Kinband exploring a derelict space hulk known as the Gallowdark.

Shortly after, the post lays out the Kill Team roadmap going into 2023. They have announced three distinct seasons: Shadowvaults, Soulshackle, and Gallowfall. Each of these seasons will feature expansion boxes, all of which will contain two full kill teams, unique terrain, as well as new missions and rules. All of these seasons will focus on the history and secrets found within the Gallowdark, telling a space adventure featuring the various factions and what they uncover.

As for how long these seasons will last, the Kill Team roadmap does provide some light hints. The bottom of the promotional image does state the roadmap is made up of "major quarterly expansions." Since Kill Team: Into The Dark does not have a confirmed release date yet, it can be inferred that these seasons will release at a rate of four months or so after Into The Dark's release. As for what possible armies or factions might show up in those expansions, there are a few options. As another one of GW's posts highlights, space hulks have played host to Genestealer infestations, Ork hijinx, and even Khorne's World Eaters have used such places as a base of operations.
