Get ready to play with your friends: A Total War Saga: Troy multiplayer beta has been announced and it will be arriving in just a few days.

A Total War Saga: Troy represents another departure from the traditional Total War games; previously, the developers launched A Total War Saga: Thrones of  Britannia as a more compact strategy experience. Typically, the games in this franchise focus on a broader region or era, but A Total War Saga: Troy has a laser focus on the Battle of Troy. Now, you'll soon be able to play it with (or against!) your friends.

For now, you can get hyped for the beta by checking out this brand-new trailer showing multiplayer gameplay in action!

When is the A Total War Saga: Troy Multiplayer Beta Start Date?

The A Total War Saga: Troy multiplayer beta will begin on Thursday, November 26, 2020 — that's just two days away! It also will give you a fantastic excuse to avoid your family at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Details on the A Total War Saga: Troy multiplayer beta are light, but the developers did detail some of the future multiplayer content on the way. The game will have support for custom multiplayer battles featuring up to 8 players, community maps support, a co-op multiplayer campaign, and more coming sometime in the future.

Also Announced – Total War Battles: Warhammer

The multiplayer beta for A Total War Saga: Troy wasn't the only big announcement today — a new mobile game is coming, too, and this one is all about Warhammer.

Total War Battles: Warhammer is being developed and published by NetEase Games. Unfortunately, the official website for the game is currently down at the time of writing, so we can't get much more in the way of details other than what can be seen in the trailer.

For now, you can buy A Total War Saga: Troy on the Epic Games Store for $49.99 or your regional equivalent. You'll be able to jump into the multiplayer beta when it stars on November 26, 2020.
