Taking the Pentagon is one thing. But holding it? That's another thing entirely.

Today, Ubisoft has announced that October 15 will be the release date for Tom Clancy's The Division 2's latest content update. It is called Episode 2 -- Pentagon: The Last Castle, and is described as the biggest title update for the title yet.

The update will include many improvements and will be available for Year 1 pass holders on October 15, with everyone else getting it a week later on October 22. It will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and UPLAY +, with the Google Stadia release coming whenever the actual platform is released.

This second episodic DLC will focus on Washington D.C. as Black Tusk forces are spreading chaos throughout the city, with players fighting to solve the outbreak crisis that continues to escalate. Basically, players will have to recover any secrets hidden within the Pentagon before the Black Tusk manages to, with the first mission having players discover the Pentagon's perfusion bioreactor within its underground research facility. As Black Tusk agents have already arrived, players will have to confront and stop them from extracting the reactor. The second mission will have players stopping the Black Tusk agents from transporting the perfusion bioreactor through a Cold War tunnel network, which the players will also have to stop.

A new Technician Specialization will be available October 15, with Year 1 pass holders instantly unlocking the new specialization. For those who don't own the pass, players can unlock it by completing a series of weapons. For those wondering, it includes the P-017 Launcher as a signature weapon, a multi-missile launcher that can hit up to 6 enemies at once. The sidearm is a Maxim 9, the Skill Variant is an Artificer Hive, with the Grenade Mod an EMP Grenade.

For Year 1 Pass holders, they get exclusive access to two new Classified Assignments: Marina and Embassy. A new PvP mode will also be introduced and is a best-of-seven battle. Each round will end when a team is eliminated or the round's time has expired. A new map called 'Wharf', set in an abandoned fishing harbor, will also be available for PvP players.

Last but not least, players will also be able to try the game during a free weekend later this month, with the game itself going on sale.
