Today, during the TapTap Presents 2023 event, a new trailer of the upcoming mobile game Persona 5: The Phantom X has been released.
The trailer showcases both cutscenes and gameplay, reveals new characters (and returning friends), and the voice actor that will play the new hero "Wonder," Koki Uchiyama. You may be familiar with him for his roles as Ventus and Roxas in Kingdom Hearts III, Rean Schwarzer in the Trails series, V in Devil May Cry V, Razor in Genshin Impact, and many more.
If this reveal is any indication, the game will have high-level Japanese voice-overs. The gameplay itself looks way too good to stay confined to mobile platforms and to the Chinese market.
We also heard during the event that the release remains slated for iOS and Android in China this year, and a second beta test will be conducted locally in Q3 2023.
In the meanwhile, you can watch the trailer below. You can also take a look at the original reveal from March.
In other Persona news, Atlus recently revealed Persona 5 Tactica, which is coming for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 17, 2023.
We're also getting the Persona 3 remake Persona 3 Reload, which will release in early 2024 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
While it doesn't strictly belong to the franchise, we also got the reveal of Metaphor ReFantazio, a fully new high fantasy JRPG by many among the creators of Persona 5.
