Sharpen your swords and charge up your magic missiles: the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Kickstarter is arriving next month.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was announced late last year as kind of a sequel to Owlcat Games' successful Pathfinder: Kingmaker. I say "kind of" because it will be building on much of what made Kingmaker a success but it is very much not a direct sequel. (Nevertheless, those who enjoyed Pathfinder: Kingmaker will probably find something to love in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

With development already well underway, Owlcat Games wants to scare up some more cash to enhance their community with a new forum, detailed surveys, systems for enhanced feedback, and, of course, further development of the game. That's why they've announced the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Kickstarter — and it's coming very soon.

When is the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Kickstarter?

As we reported earlier, this new Pathfinder game has already secured more than a million dollars in funding from private investors. So, why the need for a Kickstarter? The devs explained their reasoning in a news post on the Steam Community page for Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Why Kickstarter, you might ask? We want to make this adventure as epic as we imagined it when playing Wrath of the Righteous at the table. And, of course, we want our next game to become better than the previous one in every aspect. While we already have essential investments, there are a lot of things to add and improve. And you will be able to support us in this endeavour!

You'll be able to decide for yourself whether or not pledging is a worthwhile endeavor when the Kickstarter for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous launches on February 4, 2020.

Will you pledge to the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Kickstarter? Do you think Owlcat can replicate the success of Kingmaker? Let us know in the comments below!
