Hello Games has launched a small No Man's Sky update today, bringing some new furniture, fireworks, and decals & banners representing player-run organizations to the game on PC and consoles.

No Man's Sky has been steadily redeeming itself in the eyes of players with new content drops. Today's update is a bit on the smaller side, but there are still some cool new things for gamers to enjoy — especially if they're a member of one of the more popular player-run factions in the game.

What's New in the No Man's Sky Update?

The first notable addition in today's No Man's Sky update are five sets of decals and banners for player-run organizations. The  Alliance of Galactic Travellers, Amino Hub, Café 42, United Federation of Travelers, and Qitanian Empire are now all represented in-game with their own unique graphics.

Also arriviing today are three new pieces of furniture that are now unlocked at the Quicksilver Synthesis Bot. Players can get the Igneous Crystal, Igneous Drop, and Archaic Habitation Heater (that is to say, a fireplace) to spruce up their bases even further.

A big focus of today's update is community-run projects. Aside from the five new sets of decals and banners, the Crescendo project was also highlighted by the developers. This unique system in the Euclid Galaxy is all about sharing those kickin' ByteBeat tracks you've cooked up. If you prefer to listen to music instead, you can enjoy some of these songs on NMSFM (No Man's Sky Free Music) while you're playing.

The final addition we'll highlight are three new fireworks that you can get: Dual Chrome, Triple Burst, and Wheel of Hirk. You can contribute to unlocking these pretty pyrotechnics by completing Nexus missions; progress on this venture can be viewed in the Mission Log.

A number of other community creations were highlighted in today's No Man's Sky update, but what about the next patch? Hello Games says that it's working on "a number of exciting things" and will be sharing news about them soon. For now, you can jump into this great game by buying No Man's Sky on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox for $59.99 or your regional equivalent.

What do you think of the additions detailed in today's No Man's Sky update? What other kinds of new furniture would you like to see added to the game? Let us know in the comments below!
