Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind

The newest trailer for Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind has been launched ahead of time, and it gives us an exciting new look at the DLC.

Right from the opening moments, we can see one of the biggest additions: Aerith, Yuffie, and Leon are all back, discussing with Riku ways to find Sora. We don't get to see much of them, but it's nice that they're back. After a few new scenes, we get to see the first gameplay of the trailer, and it's another doozy. It shows several of the keyblade wielders teaming up to take on the Replica version of Organization XIII. We see more chances to play as Riku and Roxas, but also we get to see playable versions of Xion and Ventus. Once again more cutscenes, and an appearance by Demyx, before more gameplay. This time around we get to see Sora taking on several members of Organization XIII as solo boss fights, something that was oft-requested.

Following that, we got what was probably the biggest reveal of the trailer. We got a chance to see that you can play as Kairi in a battle against Xehanort. The clip is short, but finally getting to not only see Kairi in action but also play as her is fantastic, and easily one of the most requested things I can think of. The trailer also shows Sora exploring Scala ad Caelum, a mysterious world from Kingdom Hearts III that mostly was only used as a boss rush world despite how seemingly interesting it was.

The trailer then ends with a release date. PlayStation 4 users can get their hands on the Re:Mind DLC on January 23rd, 2020, with Xbox One users getting it a month later on February 25th.
