Today, during Nvidia's press conference from CES 2022 in Las Vegas, NCSoft announced that Throne and Liberty will support DLSS 3 at launch.

The game is the newest MMORPG in development at the well-known Korean powerhouse, slated to release for PC and consoles at a yet unannounced date. Yet, we at least know that it's coming at some point in 2023.

You may know it by its previous title, Lineage Eternal, as it was announced all the way in 2011. It has since gone through a lot of development ups and downs, but it finally appears to be getting closer to launch.

The trailer, which you can see below, certainly looks very different from what we've seen over a decade ago, but you can certainly spot some of that Lineage DNA in the art style and atmosphere.

With the support for the latest version of DLSS, for now officially compatible with RTX 40X0 video cards, players will be able to take advantage of the new frame generation tech promising up to four times the performance compared to native rendering.

This may be especially advantageous with Throne and Liberty, considering the number of characters and enemies that will be displayed on the screen. Considering the Lineage pedigree, this is certainly a game that many MMORPG fans will want to keep an eye on.

Incidentally, during the same conference, Nvidia announced the RTX 4070 Ti, making access to DLSS 3 a little more affordable, albeit I almost feel dirty for defining $799 as "affordable." Unfortunately, that's what the graphics card market has become, nowadays, at least until we get a 4060 or something similar.
