Apex Legends Mobile

May 11th, 11:40 AM: After announcing the Apex Legends Mobile release date was set to be this month earlier, Respawn has come back with the final release date today. The Apex Legends Mobile release date is officially set for May 17th, for both Android and iOS.

Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more about Apex Legends, including in its mobile form, and check out the original story below.

The Apex Legends Mobile release date has been revealed for Android and iOS: later this month. It's not the firmest release date, but hey, it's coming out within 29 days, which is something, right? Still, you can pre-register for both Android and iOS in order to be the first to play the game when it officially releases.

The game was developed at Respawn along with Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, which developed PUBG mobile. PUBG mobile is a massive hit, and it looks like Respawn is hoping that Lightspeed and Quantum Studios can catch lightning in a bottle twice. It's probably likely due to the popularity of Apex Legends, which in the last month had 192 000 players online on Steam at any given time. That's not counting other platforms on Steam or the PlayStation (4 and 5), Xbox (One and Series X|S), and Nintendo Switch releases. That's a lot of players.

“It’s an exciting time for our team right now,” said Apex Legends Mobile director Jordan Patz. “We’re wrapping up soft launch and we’ve learned a lot about the game in a short period. We’ve built this game from the ground up with mobile-first optimisations and mobile exclusive content to make sure that the game feels like Apex while also fresh and new at the same time. To do that, we’re starting with 10 Legends out of the gate, with favourites like Wraith, Octane, Bloodhound and Pathfinder. We’re taking players back to classic World's Edge and Kings Canyon, and of course we’re adding some twists to excite old school fans as well. We do have mobile exclusive game modes, we do have new ways to play with your friends, and new ways to invest in and explore the world of Apex Legends.

If you don't have a top-tier phone, worry not, because Apex Legends Mobile isn't the most demanding game. If you're on Android it only needs a Snapdragon 435 CPU, Android 6.0, 4GB of free space, and 2 GB of RAM. For iOS you only need an iPhone 6s or later, the 11.0 OS, 4GB of free space, and 2GB of RAM. Pretty much everyone has a phone with those specs these days, so it shouldn't be a big deal to get the game up and running on your mobile device.

Thanks, VideoGamesChronicle.
