Illuminati Confirmed

Illuminati Confirmed is a video game based on the 1994 card game Illuminati: New World Order, with members of the original team helping to bring the strategy title to life. It's currently on Kickstarter and will be released for Steam, iOS, and Android in August 2021. Here's the blurb:

Shadowy forces have long controlled our world, tipping the scales of history one way or another. They prefer to act through rumors and whispers, hiding proof of their existence from us—though in the end, they will stop at nothing to get what they want.

To them, it’s a game. Now you can play, too.

For the video game, the 1990s card game was used as a starting point, and from there the game has been changed to fit a different medium. Changes made to the original include "simplified gameplay and the shape of the game board, new art and modern, 2020's conspiracy ideas". The game also will do complicated calculations for the player, so a 3-hour experience is shortened significantly while also getting rid of the busywork.

As seen in the linked demo video, each player will take a role of a secret cabal in their efforts to take over the world. To win, a player must take over different puppets such as NATO or Florida until their pyramid is filled. Players will have Plot cards that can be used to weaken opponents, strengthen puppets, change alignments, and generally cause misery and chaos. You're also encouraged to go full Littlefinger and plot and backstab other Illuminati in order to ultimately win the game.

If you're interested in backing this project on Kickstarter, be sure to click here. At the time of publication it's made $39,000 out of its $210,000 goal, so it'll need some more love in order to make it to its goal. It has 26 days to go, so there's definitely enough time Illuminati Confirmed to make it to its goal.
