Are you ready to race? Or at least crash? Well, good news. Activision has announced that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is getting even more content, spread over three new Grand Prix.

The first is labeled the "Spooky Grand Prix", and is likey an October, and more importantly, Halloween event. For this Grand Prix, you'll get a new map, which is named Nina's Nightmare and appears to have a Halloween theme, complete with a big spooky mansion. You'll also get a new cart to ride around in the level called the Skull Rider, which looks exactly like what you'd expect: as if it was carved out of a skull. Additionally, you can hop into the role of Nina Cortex as a new playable character. Nina is Neo Cortex's niece and originally appeared in Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage on the Game Boy Advance before showing up in several other Crash Bandicoot games. Interestingly, she was originally supposed to debut in Crash Nitro Kart but ultimately was cut from the game when Traveller's Tale left the project. Additionally, the Prix will be adding secondary antagonists Doctor Nitrus Brio and Komodo Moe as playable racers.

After this is the "Neon Circus Grand Prix", which will have a new map named Carnival. There's also a new kart, this time a steampunk looking thing named the Pressurizer, and a new character. However, the character is currently a mystery, and the most that can be made out is a silhouette of a woman with a ponytail, though fans have determined that it's Pasadena O'Possum thanks to its similarities in design. The final batch of content is the "Winter Festival Grand Prix", which once again brings a new map, this time a winter-themed Gingerbread Joyride, a new kart, the festive Nitro Sleigh, and a new character. The character this time is a silhouette of a bigger man with antlers.

There's no word yet on when exactly these Grand Prix will be starting, but they'll all be free additions to the game.

How do you feel about these Grand Prix? Wish different characters were added? Wanted some different themes? Let us know in the comments below!
