T Mobile Music Freedom

Just got this in the email.

This is incredibly epic.

"No matter how you see yourself—metal master or hip-hop hero, connoisseur of classical or princess of pop—T-Mobile's network is designed data strong to rock your world with music how you want, when you want, and data charges do not apply.

Starting now, your Simple Choice™ Plan automatically lets you stream all the music you want from some of the Internet's top music services to your smartphone—without using any of your monthly high-speed data on our network.

If you already have an app for Pandora, iHeartRadio, iTunes Radio, Rhapsody, Spotify, or Slacker® on your phone, you're ready to stream. If not, download an app from Google Play™ or the iTunes App Store and start streaming today.

If you have a favorite streaming music service that's not on our list, let us know. We'll be adding more all the time."

Now the cheapest T-Mobile plan can stream internet radio endlessly!

I'll be using almost no data at all on my plan.

It's an interesting business move because now people will be less motivated to upgrade their plans. I do find it interesting they don't include any video streaming services, or purchased song services like Google play. It's actually a questionable move, if you look at the whole net neutrality debate, however I think it's not a big deal. It's not prioritization, it's just a free service.
