At E3 2015, Razer announced their new top of the line gaming mouse: The Razer Mamba. Next in line in the Mamba line of gaming mice, the 2015 Mamba will be upgrading its sensor as well as adding new features to allow users to customize click sensitivity.
The Mamba's new sensor will be capable of tracking up to 16,000 DPI, for multi-display gaming with high resolutions. DPI means Dots Per Linear Inch, which essentially means that the mouse will be able to track at one time, which helps determine exactly how precise the mouse is because there is more information to work with. Razer also claims that the Mamba will be able to track movement with up to 1 DPI increments, increasing the precision of the mouse.
One of the biggest parts of the unveiling was the announcement of the Mamba's "Adjustable Click Force Technology". As the name suggests, users will be able to manually adjust the force required to click the left and right mouse button. Users will have 14 different choices for force clicks, making the mouse feel more personalized and reducing misclicks.
Razer announced that the Mamba will have a Tournament Edition mouse as well. The differences between the two are that the Mamba Tournament Edition is a wired mouse and the regular Mamba is wireless has a detachable charging wire and a magnetic charging dock for its 20 hour battery. The Tournament Edition mouse will come with a 7 ft (2.13 meter) braided fiber cable instead of the charging cable. The Tournament Edition will also not have the Adjustable Click Force Technology feature.
Both mice have 9 total programmable buttons; Left, Right, Click scroll-wheel, Tilt scroll-wheel (left and right), two buttons below the scroll-wheel and two thumb buttons on the left side, 16.8 million color options with their chroma lighting and the upgrades mentioned above.
Both mice will be released in Quarter 3 of 2015, with a confirmed price of £134.99 for the Mamba and £79.99 for the Tournament Edition.
