DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Brick Opening.

Getting into the DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary is as simple as picking up the brand new starter-set, which has ten characters and all the components to get you playing the latest edition of Heroclix. You can check out our review of it here. But if you want to take your games further, and expand your collection, then the next step is to get hold of some DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary booster packs, which are sold individually, or if blocks of ten, known as a brick. In this article, we'll open our own brick, detail what miniatures we got, and talk about our favorite miniature in each set.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 1.

Pack 1

  • Zeus #036
  • Antiope #022
  • Superman #016
  • Wonder Woman #017
  • Gorilla Knight #007

On any other day, Zeus would be the pick of the pack, but Superman #016 is a monster of a character. This version of Superman comes with two points values, both extremely durable, but the 275 points value has an entire base of clicks. He reduces damage by two on every click and usually has an option to try and avoid it entirely. Superman can also give an allied sidekick invulnerability each turn, reducing their damage by two. Sup also has same turn move and attack options on all clicks and hits for huge damage.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 2.

Pack 2

  • Amazon Warrior #004
  • Superman #016
  • Wonder Woman #017
  • Apollo #026
  • Miss Martian #044

Miss Martian #044 has some very interesting abilities. She can heal nearby Titans characters as a free action after making a move, and if she moves five or less, can use Mind Control for free to try and take control of an enemy character. With a range six attack and move of nine to start, and a solid STOP click on her last before KO, she should present some interesting opportunities on the battlefield.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 3.

Pack 3

  • Minotaur #008
  • Lex Luthor #054
  • Sargent Steel #012
  • Superman #016
  • Diana Prince #018

Aside from being a very interesting piece, Lex Luthor #054's most interesting aspect is that he was designed by the 2019 Heroclix World Champion Isaac Arnold-Berkovits. As Lex moves through his clicks, he generates superhero tokens and when Lex gets to his final click, he gets to choose an opposing character that can't attack Lex for the rest of the game unless he's the final character on their force.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 4.

Pack 4

  • Sky Tyrant #065
  • Star Sapphire #040
  • Medusa #030
  • Allied Soldier #002
  • German Soldier #003

Sky Tyrant #065 is very rare, we were lucky to get him in our first brick opening and is a combat monster. He has clicks that let him move full speed on charge and then move half speed after an attack. he also gains Reincarnation Tokens after he KO's opponents, which he can discard instead of being KO'd himself. Throw him into combat and watch him cause havoc.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 5.

Pack 5

  • Wonder Woman #001
  • Allied Soldier #002
  • Nemesis #032
  • Diana Prince #010
  • Dr. Psycho #038

Dr. Psycho #038 doesn't have many clicks of damage, so keeping him safe and at range is essential, but his access to mind control, which also gives any affected character an action token can really lock down your opponent's force and for a very cheap price of 45 points.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 1.

Pack 6

  • Devastation #046
  • Harley Quinn #024
  • Huntress #014
  • Amazon of Bana-Mighdall #005
  • Diana Prince #018

Harley Quinn #024 is a Harley Wonder Woman ally dressed up in WW gear. She has the awesome ability that when she misses an attack, the target gets an action token, so even when she's not dealing damage, she can lock down your opponent's force.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 7.

Pack 7

  • First Born #056
  • Mary Shazam #028
  • D.M.A. Agent #006
  • Wonder Woman #001
  • German Soldier #003

First Born #056 starts on click 4 and heals clicks for each action token on characters he hits. He also has two STOP clicks to keep him around causing havoc with his high damage, teleporting abilities, and powers to add action tokens to adjacent characters.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 8.

Pack 8

  • Angle Man #033 (The Angler #s001)
  • Amazon Warrior #004
  • Steve Trevor #020
  • Gorilla Knight #007
  • Antiope #022

We got two Angle Man #033 in our brick but picked him as the pick for this pack because Batman in the next pack. Angle Man comes equipped with the Angler equipment clix which gives him some great mobility, along with his Probability Control throughout his dial, and of course, his ability to reroll any three's once per turn.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 9.

Pack 9

  • Angle Man #033 (The Angler #s001)
  • Diana Prince #018
  • Batman #015
  • The Cheetah #013
  • Artemis #021

Batman #015 has a decent movement and attack range, along with sidestep for the first few clicks and outwit to lock down enemy abilities in his last few clicks. He can also give friendly Sidekicks stealth and can produce smoke clouds to cover your team's advance.

DC Heroclix: Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Booster Pack 10.

Pack 10

  • Wonder Woman #062 (Golden Armor #s006)
  • Circe #009
  • Steve Trevor #020
  • D.M.A. Agent #006
  • Nubia #019

Wonder Woman #062 comes equipped with the Golden Armor clix giving them invulnerability on their starting click. She can also boost adjacent friendly character's defense to her printed value which is a solid 19 or 18 across her dial. She also has access to blades/claws/fangs across her dial to deal D6 damage to single targets she hits, and with a movement ten charge, someone is getting hit.
