Games Workshop has been diligently supporting their fantasy war game, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. While it hasn't gained the widespread popularity of its grimdark sci-fi counterpart, Warhammer 40k, interest has been maintained thanks to the release of Third Edition, the implementation of battlescroll updates, as well as the release of battleboxes like the reprinted Cursed City, Fury of the Deep, and the recently announced Arena of Shades. Now, not only will Games Workshop continue their support, they have released a schedule.
In an official Warhammer Community post, Games Workshop revealed their roadmap for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The post revealed that four battletomes would be coming soon. The first two are for the Idoneth Deepkin and the Fyreslayers. Not only will this include new lore, artwork, and tactics for these armies, it'll let you get a peek at the new units introduced in the Fury of the Deep battlebox: Akhelian Thrallmaster and Auric Flamekeeper.
The second pair of battletomes coming for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar are for the Nighthaunt and Daughters of Khaine armies respectively. Similarly, the battletomes will include new rules, artwork, and lore, all meant to coincide with the new units and scenarios introduced in Arena of Shades.
Finally, while the four announced battletomes for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar coincide with battlebox announcements, Games Workshop did tease two more battletomes were on the way. The two tomes are simply addressed to the armies of Chaos and Order respectively.
As for when these battletomes specifically will release for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Games Workshop's schedule was light on specific details. The Idoneth Deepkin and Fyreslayers battletomes will release some time in Winter 2022. The Nighthaunt and Daughters of Khaine battletomes will be coming out in Spring of 2022. Finally, the mysterious Order and Chaos battletomes will be releasing in Summer 2022.
