Games Workshop has released another preview for Warhammer 40k 10th Edition. The publisher has revealed multiple changes to the latest version of their grimdark sci-fi miniatures, ranging fro army lists and vehicles, to specific changes for various armies like the Imperial Guard and Chaos Space Marines. Now, another army is getting the spotlight, one that has recently become a standalone faction from the forces of Chaos. Here are changes coming to Warhammer 40k 10th Edition World Eaters.
The Warhammer 40k 10th Edition World Eaters preview
According to an official Warhammer-Community post, the Warhammer 40k 10th Edition World Eaters will continue the army's reputation for unquenchable slaughter and bloodletting. This is represented in their new Army Rule: Blessings of Khorne. You roll a number of dice at the start of the battle round, and the results will determine a bonus given to all units in your army. This can range from an increase in movement speed to boosts to pre-existing abilities, to just allowing a defeated unit to stay in play. While these effects only last to the end of the combat round, a few good rolls can cascade into one bloody tribute to the Blood God.

This ability synergizes with the new unit spotlight. Khorne Berzerkers have the new Icon of Khorne ability, which allows you to re-roll one of the Blessings of Khorne dice if one of your units is in range of an objective marker. Since Berzerkers have an Objective Control characteristic of 2, this makes them formidable when it comes to contesting these points. The deadly daemon Angron has returned with some minor changes as well. For example, his Wrathful Presence now triggers during the Charge phase, allowing him to choose the right Aura for the Fight phase.
Finally, the Warhammer 40k 10th Edition World Eaters preview ends with the highlight of a new Stratagem. Blood Offering can be activated on any of your units that were just destroyed within range of an objective marker. It can be used during any phase. If you do this, the objective marker remains under your control, even if you have no units in that area. This continues until your opponent physically captures the point. After all, Khorne doesn't matter whose blood is spilled; just that it flows.
