Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.
First up, we have several announcements from Privateer Press. The company recently announced the release of the Collector’s Editions of the Mk. 3 rulebooks for both Warmachine and Hordes. The Collector’s Edition comes with a unique cover variant and a pair of resin bookends depending on the game system. Warmachine players will get an Ironclad and Juggernaut set, while Hordes players get a Woldwarden and a Dire Troll Bomber bookend set. Both sets are priced at $150 USD and thus qualify for free shipping directly from Privateer Press.

Corvus Belli released images for their upcoming Infinity releases. The Yu Jing Wu Ming Assault Corps, PanOceania Calusewitz Uhlans and Acontecimento Tikbalangs, Tohaa Kaauri Sentinels, ALEPH Achilles v2, and USAriadna Foxtrot Ranger with boarding shotgun comprise this month’s releases for the game. Images of the individual units are currently available from the Corvus Belli Facebook page.
Games Workshop is currently taking pre-orders for their newest boxed game Stormcloud Attack. The game currently has three variants depending on the aerial battle: The Eldritch & The Beast pits an Eldar Crimson Hunter against an Ork Dakkajet, Faith & Heresy has a Stormtalon Gunship facing off against a Chaos Space Marines Heldrake, and The Ancient & The Greater Good features a Necron Night Scythe and a Tau Razorshark Strike Fighter dueling over the skies. The games are currently priced at $100 USD and will be available in stores on July 2nd.
Forge World also announced the release of Knight-Errant Tytos Rubio for its Horus Heresy character line. Fans of the long-running Black Library series and Forge World game will recognize the name of the former Ultramarine Librarian turned Knight-Errant by Nathaniel Garro at the start of the battle of Calth during the events of the Horus Heresy in Warhammer 40,000 lore. The model is currently available for pre-order and will ship on July 1st.

Raging Heroes has released the final render images for their second Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Kickstarter campaign (WARNING: Link may contain NSFW images of half-naked demon elf ladies). The Lust Elves Centaurs, Varaseesh the Venomous, and the Ascended Sister Erzebel make up the final unit preview update. The company also finally opened the Pledge Manager over the weekend, allowing Kickstarter backers the opportunity to choose the models they want most. The Pledge Manager will no longer be available after Monday, July 11th and will be mailed out on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to act quickly!
And finally, on a tangential note, the British pound sterling has experienced a drop in value following the UK’s referendum to leave the European Union. The pound sterling is expected to drop to a 30-year low against the US dollar in the coming days and weeks. This means that now is an excellent time for US wargamers to order miniatures, books, and assorted odds and ends from UK companies, as you’ll be getting more bang for your buck while the financial markets stabilize following Brexit results and the UK’s eventual separation from the EU.
