Hello, TechRaptor readers. Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming this past week!
First up is Games Workshop continuing their Warhammer: Age of Sigmar releases with the Magmadroth, a giant fire-breathing lizard meant to provide additional firepower and support for a Fyreslayers force. The kit gives you the option of building either an Auric Runefather, an Auric Runesmiter, or an Auric Runeson to ride atop the beast. The rider models can also be easily built as regular infantry models as well, which help justify the $110 USD price tag. Pre-orders for the upcoming Battletome: Fyreslayers was also announced; the book will go on sale on January 23rd.
Corvus Belli recently released the model previews for the USAriadna Desperadoes via a pair of YouTube videos showing a 360-degree view of both the Western, Clint Eastwood-inspired and the tattooed Sons of Anarchy-inspired bikers. Unit stats are expected to be released later this week, and the model is expected to go on sale be the end of the month. No solid release date has been announced as of this writing.

Warlord Games is currently offering a set of Starter Deals for their various historical wargames. If you buy either a rule book or army set from Warlord Games, you get to choose a free plastic box set for said system. The deal is currently available for Hail Ceasar, Pike & Shotte, and Black Powder. The deal is also valid if you purchase starter sets as well, with D-Day Firefight, Pike and Shotte: For King And Country, and Hail Casear: Conquest of Gaul.
Forge World released a trio of new bundles for their Horus Heresy game system. The Isstavan Trilogy, Conquest: Solar Auxilia, and Conquest: Questoris Knights bundles are available for a limited time to provide easier ways to either get started with or build up your Horus Heresy force.
And finally, Privateer Press has released previews for the Cygnar Thunderhead and Legion of Everblight Proteus sculpts for Warmachine and Hordes. The Thunderhead model has a price point of $59.99 USD and will have both white metal and resin parts, while the Proteus model will be priced at $64.99. Both models have a tentative release date of April 30th.
