Tabula Games' next tabletop games Icaion will be coming to Kickstarter this May according to a press release from the publisher. If you're unfamiliar with Tabula Games, they're an Italian tabletop games producer that focuses on doing limited print runs created through a crowdfunding campaign. We've covered some of their games before including Barbarians and Volfyrion, and now they've announced that they're bringing their next title to Kickstarter this May.

Icaion has players taking on the role of a Seeker, an adventurer who has a particular proclivity for uncovering treasures from ancient times. You'll have to create an expedition and head out into the wilderness to find these valuables, but you won't be along — other Seekers will be competing against you in their own searches for treasure. What's more, a terrible being lurks in the outskirts of the world and your treasure hunt might just make it a little bit upset.

What makes Icaion particularly interesting is how it can interact with Mysthea, another game from Tabula Games that we're currently in the process of reviewing. Icaion comes included with game parts that can be used alongside Mysthea to make an entirely new third game, adding a lot of value to the experience for players who already own one of Tabula Games' previous releases. Aside from the ability to combine the games, VolfyrionMysthea, and Icaion all take place within the same shared universe created by Tabula Games.

Tabula Games will be bringing Icaion to Kickstarter on May 21, 2019. If this sounds like the kind of game you might like to play, you can learn more about the game and their other works by heading on over to Tabula Games' website.
