Sniper Elite developer Rebellion has announced a new studio called Rebellion Unplugged. If it's not entirely evident from the name, they're going to be making tabletop games and they've announced their first title, to boot — Sniper Elite The Board Game.
A tweet from Rebellion Unplugged announced their first major project as Sniper Elite The Board Game. We don't know much about what this game will be like, although one hopes that you'll still be able to shoot people in the testicles for bonus points.
Rebellion Unplugged also announced that while this brand-new tabletop game is very cool, it isn't the only project; they also have "a number of other Rebellion Unplugged projects" in the works, although they're reluctant to reveal what those are just yet. Aside from Sniper Elite (and the Zombie Army spinoffs), I'd put my money on something in the Evil Genius franchise.
When Can You Play Sniper Elite The Board Game?
Now that we know Sniper Eliite The Board Game is on the way, one question may be on gamers' minds: when can you play it?
Unless you're lucky enough to have a friend at the studio, your next best chance to play it will be at the upcoming tabletop convention PAX Unplugged where Rebellion Unplugged will be demoing an early version of the game. You'll be able to attend PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia, PA from December 6–8, 2019.
That's not the only way you can get it, though — the creators are also running a contest where you can win your very own copy.
We're giving you the chance to win one of the very first copies of Sniper Elite the Board Game! All you need to do is:
