Games Workshop have announced Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis. This is the second expansion to Games Workshop's best-selling board game, one where players enter the city of Ulfenkarn and defend its inhabitants from legions of the undead. It will also be the final expansion for the board game, containing one last major boss battle to tie things up.

Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis

According to an official Warhammer Community post, Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis will contain one last questline. Players will be tasked with defending the doomed townsfolk from Radukar the Wolf, Ulfenkarn's undead tyrannical ruler. The Nemesis expansion will include the following:

  •     A new Quest Book filled with rules and narrative quests as well as lore about Radukar
  •     25 new tokens and counters. This includes 8 Sinkhole Tokens, which deal additional damage to either heroes or hostiles.
  •     8 Paragon Class Trait Cards
  •     5 Encounter Cards
  •     A Nemesis Quest Card

In addition, Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis will include some new mechanics. For players, there are Major Actions and Exalt Tokens. Major Actions have a value of 7 or more, allowing players to perform more complex tasks. Exalt Tokens can make heroes inspired at the start of a quest. As for the baddies they have Reborn Evil, allowing them to return to the game after being defeated. So don't get too comfortable if you think you've killed these horrors for good.

Well it's called the Cursed City for a reason

All of this does come with a catch. Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis contains no new miniatures. If you want to play this new content as intended, you will need one Wight King, Necromancer, Grave Guard, Vargheist, and Dire Wolve unit each. You will also need a copy of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City and Nightwars.

There is currently no release date or price for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - Nemesis.
