Mythic Games, creators of Mythic Battles: Pantheon and Time of Legends: Joan of Arc, have announced a new tabletop game.

The game is named Reichbusters: Projekt Vril. It's a co-op game set near the end of an alternate World War II in which Nazis are powering superweapons with "miraculous Vril energies". Players must siege the castle in which Vril weapons are being manufactured, shut down the Nazi war machines and win the war for the Allies.

Reichbusters: Projekt Vril was announced alongside a teaser trailer, which you can check out here:

The emphasis is on "teaser" here, as the game is quite early in development. Still, the trailer shows off Reichbusters: Projekt Vril's art style, which has echoes of Wolfenstein and Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. The game will see players take control of a group of Allied heroes and will task them with several different ways to sabotage Nazi operations, including assassinations of key figures, securing tech for Allied use and capturing enemy scientists.

Gameplay-wise, Reichbusters: Projekt Vril is a co-operative slash single-player game for 1-4 players, according to a Facebook post by Mythic Games. The game will utilize 32mm scale miniatures and will feature uniquely designed heroes, each of which has a different skill set for players to use. Mythic Games is also promising that Reichbusters: Projekt Vril will feature many familiar elements to tabletop players such as hand management and loadout customization.

For now, that's everything Mythic Games has revealed about Reichbusters: Projekt Vril. Mythic Games will be launching a Kickstarter campaign for the game towards the end of the year, so if this is the kind of projekt (ahem) you'd like to be involved with, then you'll have the opportunity to partially fund its development.

Mythic Games is a board game developer based in Dudelange, Luxembourg. Previous titles developed by Mythic include Mythic Battles: Pantheon and Time of Legends: Joan of Arc, both of which were successfully funded via Kickstarter.
