Mutant Mudds tabletop game and Yooka-Laylee tabletop game have both been announced by Limited Run Games in partnership with Game Decks — and you can pre-order them right now.

Yooka-Laylee is a platformer created by Playtoniic Games that is very much in the style of N64 classics such as Banjo Kazooie. Join Yooka the lizard and Laylee the Bat as they travel around collecting all kinds of different items in a highly colorful world.

Mutant Mudds, on the other hand, is a somewhat different kind of game. This "12-bit" action platformer features an aesthetic that fits somewhat in-between the NES and SNES eras. Now, both of these games are coming to the tabletop — and strangely, you can mix and match them together.

The Yooka-Laylee Tabletop Game Looks Pretty Cool

The Yooka-Laylee tabletop game was announced by Game Decks on Twitter. It shares many similar themes to the video game that inspired it, although there are naturally some adaptations that have been made for the adaptation to the tabletop format.

Players will roll dice and move pieces around ther board as they try to get their hands on a bunch of collectibles. Best of all, the game board is modular; this means that each playthrough will be a completely different experience with a new map layout.

You can pre-order the Yooka-Laylee tabletop game on Limited Run Games for $29.99 or your regional equivalent. You have until September 5, 2021, to get your order in before this game is gone for good.

Mutant Mudds Tabletop Game Joins the Action

Mutant Mudds is also getting the tabletop treatment from Game Decks and it, too, has had to make some changes to adapt to the new format while preserving the overall spirit of the game.

Familiar characters including Max, Grannie, Eyeshot, and Inch Mudd feature in the game. Many other iconic elementss from Mutant Mudds (including Golden Diamonds) also feature into the mechanics. The coolest thing about the Mutant Mudds game, however, is the fact that you can merge it with the Yooka-Laylee tabletop game and play a somewhat different kind of experience.

You can pre-order the Mutant Mudds tabletop game on Limited Run Games for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
