Welcome to the third official day of spoiler season for the newest Magic: The Gathering set, Kaladesh. Wizards of the Coast spoiled a good deal of the set over the weekend as part of their presence at PAX West - if you're just joining us, you can find more information about what's been spoiled by Wizards of the Coast in our previous article.
The first spoiler for the day is in an article from MTGGoldfish; their spoiler is the Instant-speed Paradoxical Outcome, which has a casting cost of three generic and one Blue mana. It returns any number of non-land, non-token permanent cards you control from the battlefield to their owners' hands. You draw a card for each permanent returned to your hand this way.
One of the spoilers to come from Wizards of the Coast at PAX West was Woodweaver's Puzzleknot. That card is now confirmed to be a part of a five-card cycle of "Puzzleknots", all of which have casting costs of two generic mana. Cogworker's Puzzleknot creates a 1/1 Colorless Servo Artifact Creature token when it enters the battlefield, and can create another by paying one generic and one White mana and sacrificing itself. Glassblower's Puzzleknot lets you Scry the top two cards of your library and then gain two energy counters; this can be repeated by paying two generic and one Blue mana and sacrificing Glassblower's Puzzleknot.
When Metalspinner's Puzzleknot enters the battlefield, you draw a card and lose one life. Doing this again requires two generic and one Black mana and sacrificing Metalspinner's Puzzleknot. Finally, Fireforger's Puzzleknot deals one point of damage to target creature or player when it enters the battlefield, and again by paying two generic and one Red mana and sacrificing Fireforger's Puzzleknot.
Aetherflux Reservoir is a very unusual Artifact card with a casting cost of four generic mana, and is highlighted by Wizards of the Coast on their homepage. Whenever you cast a spell, you gain one life for each spell you've cast that turn. By paying fifty life, you can deal fifty points of damage to target creature or player.
Magic: The Gathering website and content creator Channel Fireball has an article on their card - Noxious Gearhulk, the fourth card in the Mythic-rarity Gearhulk cycle. It has the Menace ability word and a casting cost of four generic and two Black mana; when it enters the battlefield, you can destroy target creature. If you do so, you gain life equal to that creature's toughness.
Card market TCGPlayer has an article on their spoiler card, the 4/3 Bristling Hydra. Bristling Hydra has a casting cost of two generic and two Green mana, and gives you three energy counters when it enters the battlefield. By paying three energy counters, you can put a +1/+1 counter on Bristling Hydra and give it the Hexproof ability word until the end of turn.
The Wizards of the Coast Twitter account held a "Guess the Name" contest for this next card, eventually revealing it as the Artifact Key to the City, which has a casting cost of two generic mana. By tapping it and discarding a card, you can make up to one target creature unblockable until the end of the turn. Whenever Key to the City becomes untapped, you can pay two generic mana and if you do, you draw a card.
Our final card for the day, Shrewd Negotiation, comes to us from Face to Face Games. Shrewd Negotiation is a Sorcery-speed spell with a casting cost of four generic and one Blue mana that lets you exchange of target Artifact you control with target Artifact or Creature you don't control.
