Magic: The Gathering fans have plenty of reasons to be excited for the new set, Innistrad: Crimson Vow. But physical cards aren't the only way to enjoy this game, and Wizards of the Coast know this. To that end, they have announced an official release date for Innistrad: Crimson Vow on Magic: Arena.

As part of an official press conference with Wizards of the Coast, we were given details about what Innistrad: Crimson Vow would include, along with a number of cards to see. These included brand new alternate artwork of famous vampire characters like Olivia Volderen and Sorin Markov, new gameplay mechanics, and even a card series based on Bram Stoker's Dracula.

However, if you enjoy playing the iconic card game online, Innistrad: Crimson Vow will still be full of gothic charm. In addition to new character avatars for Olivia and Sorin, as well as brand new digital battlefields covered in blood petals and cold marble floors. Given the entire idea behind this new set is a vampire wedding, it's a design that is very on point.

Shall we dance with the bride?

We did reach out to Wizards of the Coast to ask about Innistrad: Crimson Vow's debut on MTG: Arena. Ever since the announcement of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons, which marked the debut of certain cards only being available on the digital platform, mostly featuring new mechanics that would just be impossible to implement in a physical game, we were curious if any such cards would be on this set. At the time of writing, no official response has been given However, given the fact that Jumpstart: Historic Horizons was explicitly marketed as its own separate thing apart from physical Magic sets, it is safe to assume that this digital release of Innistrad: Crimson Vow will be mostly on par with the physical release.

The biggest omission will be the Commander decks, and individual cards in Set and Collector's boosters targeting Commander. This is due to Commander not being supported on MTG: Arena along with set boosters and collector booster packs. This has lead to a bit of unintentional comedy regarding Innistrad: Crimson Vow's Arena debut. This is a set about a vampire wedding, and one of the cards that will not show up in this version of the game is called Wedding Ring.

When Will Innistrad: Crimson Vow Be Available on MTG: Arena?

Innistrad: Crimson Vow will come to Magic The Gathering: Arena via a digital update on November 11, 2021. This is one day before its physical prerelease of November 12, and over a week of its physical retail release of November 19.
