Harry Potter - Hogwarts Battle - Monster Box of Monsters

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle - The Monster Box of Monsters, an expansion for the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle deck-building game, has been announced by USAopoly.

The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle deck-building game allows 2-4 players to take on the role of either Harry, Hermione, Ron, or Neville to do battle with evil villains threatening the students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It includes seven decks (representing the seven distinct stories told throughout the books) that get progressively more challenging as you move further along the timeline. Players will have to use their differing hero decks and abilities to prevent villains from winning battles at different locations in the greater wizarding world. If they win, they can move onto the next game. If they fail, they'll have to set the game up once more to try again. If you'd like to get more in-depth details about the game, you can check out our review.

This expansion adds a few new things to the Harry Potter deck-building experience. Luna Lovegood joins the cast of heroes as a playable character. The box will include four new games for players to work their way through along with 152 new cards, 21 chip pieces, and a die. You can see a rundown of the game's gameplay from USAopoly themselves in an instructional video:

USAopoly is a company that makes board games, puzzles, and other collectibles based on licensed properties. Aside from the Hogwarts Battle deck-building game, their products based on this particular IP include puzzles, a version of Trivial Pursuit, and a version of Clue. If you'd like to pick up Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle - The Monster Box of Monsters, it's listed as "Coming Soon" on the USAopoly website. Sadly, it's only available to customers in the United States and Canada. If you'd like to buy it, you can grab it at the MSRP of $29.95.
