Games Workshop have announced big plans for Warhammer Fest 2023. The tabletop publisher has held this event reliably over the years, usually to announce new content for their tabletop war games, but this year they are planning for a massive in-person venue in the UK, along with several major planned events.

According to an official Warhammer Community post, Warhammer Fest 2023 is being treated as the biggest celebration of Games Workshop's franchises. To this end, the event will take place over three days at the Manchester Central venue in the UK, which can hold up to 10,000 people.
But that's not all Warhammer Fest 2023 has to offer. In an official press release, Games Workshop went into further detail about certain live events planned. The event will contain the largest live Warhammer 40k tournament, the return of the Golden Demon painting contest, a Warhammer-themed laser tag game called 'Kill Team Live', a Mega Pub Quiz Night for hardcore lore hounds to test their mettle, and the Warhammer Underworlds Grand Clash. If you're not the competitive sort, the event will also host shops selling event-exclusive miniatures. cosplay activities, Hobby Challenges, and Master Classes for those that want to bring their miniature details to the next level, as well as buy officially-licensed Warhammer merchandise and video games.
If you are interested in attending Warhammer Fest 2023, there are a few things to consider. First, there appears to be no official statement on the Warhammer Fest website on whether or not COVID vaccination cards will be mandatory, or if masks will be mandatory at the event. If you are worried about the sheer volume of the event and the possibility of infection, plan accordingly. Second, if you are planning on participating in any of the tournaments or the Golden Demon contest, you must purchase your tickets in advance. However, if you simply wish to attend the event, tickets and passes will be sold at the door.
Warhammer Fest 2023 tickets will go on sale November 11. The event itself will begin on April 29 and conclude on May 1.
