If you're a fan of the Dark Souls series, you're probably aware of the many different board game adaptations developed by Steamforged Games. There was the successfully crowdfunded Dark Souls: The Board Game which sported some impressively detailed miniatures based on the dark fantasy series' monsters. They were also behind Dark Souls: The Card Game, which has received several expansions. Most recently was their tabletop RPG adaptation which, after some stern criticism, is being reprinted. Coinciding with this release, the developer will be releasing official Dark Souls TTRPG minis, which will contain monster and NPC statblocks compatible with Dungeons and Dragons 5e.

According to a press release (via Dicebreaker) , these sets of miniatures will contain characters and creatures based on various factions found across the entire Dark Souls trilogy. The first three sets will contain four Silver Knight Greatbowmen, four Hollow Crossbowmen, and a single Guardian Dragon from Dark Souls II respectively. The fourth set, called The Silver & The Dead, will include two Silver Knights and two Hollow Soldiers. Finally, there will be two Unkindled Heroes sets, which will contain all of the starting player classes: Knight, Warrior, Assassin, Herald, Pyromancer, Cleric, Thief, Sorcerer, Mercenary and Deprived.

But what is especially interesting about these Dark Souls TTRPG minis are the stat cards contained within each set. These cards will contain key information like stats, skills, hit points, etc.. Using these statcards, Game Masters will have quick references for these creatures and can use them in any modern d20 system. These include the official Dark Souls TTRPG as well as Dungeons and Dragons 5e. This means if you plan on running a dark fantasy TTRPG session and want to use Lord Gwyn, Lord of Fire's holy order of Silver Knights as part of a castle siege, the resources right there. Alternatively, if you want to add a tactical edge to a horror-oriented adventure with undead, the mad but still tactically sound Hollow Soldiers are at your disposal.

The Dark Souls TTRPG mini sets are to release some time this year. Each of the individual character sets will cost $24.99. The Guardian Dragon miniature set will cost $49.99.
